nearby states.
Producers can ask questions
about their own farm operations to
expand their knowledge of nutri
tion and feeding management
Participants are encouraged to
bring one forage sample to the
first workshop to be analyzed for
use in the second workshop.
Each workshop will start at 10
a.m. and end at 3 p.m. with one
hour for lunch. Each workshop
will feature several video seg
ments presented via satellite, exer
cises, and discussions on nutri
tion-related topics conducted by
county agents, and a question and
answer period with several spe
cialists in dairy nutrition, agron
omy, and agricultural engineering.
Participants will be limited to
the seating capacity at each site.
Early registration is requested by

While some new Ullage equipment is to be demon
strated, much of the program is to focus on using common
equipment already owned and used by farmers.

and insightful. “After each type of primary and secondary
tillage is demonstrated, residue measurements will be
made and recorded for comparison. The effect of deep til
lage on residue Will also be demonstrated. Fanners attend

A representative from the state Department of Agricul
ture’s Bureau of Weights and Measures is set to be there to
