STATE COLLEGE (Centre Co.) These date are calculated using
information pulled from Pennsylvania DHIA’s mainframe computer
each week. It is a one-week summary representing approximately one
fourth of the herds on test, as they are tested monthly.

Two Meetings Remain
STATE COLLEGE (Centre Co.) The Pen
nsylvania Dairy Herd Improvement Association
(Pa.DHIA) has been holding its fall conferences
for technicians. There are two meetings
remaining.
All meetings start at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.
Dean Amick, director of field operations, and
David Bigelow, state training coordinator, and
regional managers are scheduled to attend the
conferences.

The agenda includes computer training, with
hands-on experience, boot and meter impor
tance, presenting new ear tags and to present
awards and memberhsip pins and cards.
Also included are break-out disuccsion groups
on topics such as improving service to dairymen
and how the individual can improve himself and
his image.

A certification exam is to be given with the
region manager assisting the trianing coordinator
in each session. Technicians are urged to attend
their respective meetings.
The two remaining meetings are scheduled for
Oct. 25 at the All American Truckstop in Milton
for Union. Lycoming, Montour, Northumber
land, Columbia and Luzerne counties. Take Exit
32 off of 180.

the Niles Valley Plaza, Icoated along Rt 287,
north of Wellsboro. For technicians in Potter and
Tioga counties.
