Jerry Hershberger owns and operates a
130 cow dairy located in the heart of the
Morrison’s Cove at New Enterprise,
Pennsylvania. In October of 1989, Jerry
began working with Purina Mills and his
local Purina dealer, Bedford Farm Bureau
to improve the performance of his herd.
Mr. Hershberger feeds a total mixed
ration balanced for 65 pounds of milk
production. The current ration includes
com silage (60%), haylage (40%), 3.5 pounds
