District 4-H Horse Show
The 1993 District IX 4-H Horse
and Pony Show was recently held
in Meadville.
Warren County had 28 4-H
members compete in the three
days of events. Members demon
strated their skills in western and
english riding, as well as groom
ing and showmanship.
The top winner was Julie Mor
ris of the Columbus Saddle-ites.
Julie, showing her horse “Ran
sdmvale Samsation,” placed first
in the saddle type'pleasure horse,
second in the saddle seat equita
tion senior division, and second in
the pleasure driving class. Annie
Macormac of the Grand Valley
Gouchos placed third in the pony
raised box keyhole class. She rode
her pony, “Barleos Empress
Gold.”
Other top placle finishers in the
district show were Danielle Hall
Miller of the Saddle-ites placed
third in the pleasure pony driving;
Erin Wright of the Sugar Grove
Ruff Riders placed third in the
saddle seat equitation junior divi
sion, fourth in the pleasure driv
ing, and sixth in the saddle type
pleasure ponies; Amy Loizeaux of
the Ruff Riders placed third in the
hunter seat equitation (over
jumps) junior division and eighth
in the working hunter pony;

placed seventh in the western ple
asure ponies (over 12.2 and not
over 14.0 hands); Mark Dundon of
the Saddle-ites placed seventh in
the stock seat equitation junior
division and seventh in the west
ern pleasure horses (over 14.0
hands, junior rider); and Heather
Sleeman of the Pittsfield Bronc
Busters placed eighth in the west
ern pleasure horse (over 14.0
hands, senior rider).
Both Julie Morris and Annie
Macormac are eligible to partici
pate in the State 4-H Horse Show
October 29-31 at Harrisburg.

of the Adams County 4-H prog

Bar-B-Q’s raise funds that allows
the Adams County 4-H program
to provide additional educational
opportunities to the youth of
Adams County through 4-H.
The 4-H Leaders Banquet also
included the annual meeting, 4-H
Clubs of Adams County, Inc. The
4-H leaders elected the following
as directors for a three-year term:
