Located in the heart of the Catskill
Mountains, Sullivan County, NY, Jim
is the fifth generation to operate the
dairy. It consists of 200 acres and they
milk 44 holsteins (started in 1860).
Jim & Evelyn decided to try Purina
Dairy Rations after a trip with other
dairymen from NY and PA
Purina Research Farms in Gray
Summit, MO, in the fall of 1992.
They feed a split cart program of
Purina Hi-E Milking Concentrate B-
35 UIP and cracked com. They are fed
according to production as calculated
by Purina DM Bob Kieselowsky and
agent Eddie Moran.

from 2.8% to 3.6% and our cows
have averaged 65 Ibs./cow for the past
