was a 3-year-old cow named
Biookview Demand Juliet - EXP
that displayed “dairy character
throughout, was long and lean
with a capacious udder,” that was
named best udder in the class. Ju
liet was owned by Justin John
Clark of Cornish Flat, New Hamp
shire. L. Herbert and Brenda York
showed the reserve grand cham
pion cow, a 4-year-old named
Sandy River Pebbles, that was
described as “outstanding, long,
with capacity of udder and an ad
vantage in teat placement" Peb
bles was also named best udder in
her class.
Lanes Diane, a “well balanced”
senior heifer calf “with dairyness
and cleanness, that walks out
well,” owned by James A. Lane, a
junior exhibitor from New Vine
yard, Maine, was named junior
champion. Reserve junior cham
pion went to CMC Kennys Orna
ment, “a long, powerful, clean
front ended” intermediate yearling
heifer shown by Gregory A. Clark
Jr., a junior exhibitor from Cor
nish Float, N.H,
Premier exhibitor of the show
was William Bartlett of Salisbury.
Mass. Premier breeder ended in a
tie between William Bartlett and
L. Herbert and Brenda York of
Farmington, Maine.
