Crawford County 4-H’ers Place High MEADVILLE (Crawford Co.) The 46th annual Northwest Pennsylvania 4-H District Dairy Show took place on Saturday, September 4, at the Crawford County Fairgrounds in Meadville. A total of 423 animals were catalogued from the 10-county area, including Butler. Clarion, Crawford, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Venango and Warren. All of these animals were blue ribbon winners in their respective counties. Blue ribbon winners at this show competed at the 3lth Pennsylvania Junior Dairy Show held in Harrisburg. County 4-H’ers had high plac ings in four of the six dairy breeds. In the Ayrshire show, Chantel le Zilhaver, Cambridge Springs, had the Junior Champion with her Fall Senior calf. This animal was also the Best Owned and Bred ani mal of the Ayrshire Show. Chan telle also received the master fitter and showman Award. Jennie Mae Campbell, Conneaut Lake, showed the Senior and Grand Champion Ayrshire with her Dry Cow 2-yr. and over. Jennie received a master showman award. In the Guernsey show, Emilie Smith. Centerville, showed the BUSH HOC DIVISION OF ALLIED mooucit cotta*Alton Winning with quality* Senior and Grand Champion with her Junior 2-year-old. Emilie also received a master fitter award. In the Holstein Show. Brooks Rynd, Cochranton, showed the Junior Champion, with his Winter Intermediate Calf. Brooks also received master showman and master fitter awards. Daniel Wil son, Saegertown, showed the Reserve Junior Champion with his Spring Junior Yearling. Daniel also received master showman and master fitter awards. Tanya Lynn Steadman, also of Saeger town, had the Best Owned and Bred animal with her Junior 3-year old. She also received mas ter fitter and showman awards.
