The Great Ice Cream Cone Controversy
Most folks agree that the public debut of the ice cream
cone was at the 1904 St Louis World’s Fair In one leg
end, ice cream vendor Arnold Fornachou, located next
waffle baker, Ernest Hamwi, ran out of
laper bowls One of the men rolled up
> and the cone was born. However, at least
predates the fair Italo Marchiony began
m ice from a pushcart in New York City
immigrating in the late 1800 s. Business was
Marchiony devised cones, first made of

Steam until crisp-tender.
