The business meeting was opened by Fem, with devotions by Group #7 and Dor othy Strieker gave a reading from a book “Minutes of Gold”, Bible verse John 13:34; followed by The Lord’s Prayer and pledge to flag. The roll call question “What is your favorite summer fruit?” was answered by 20 members and one guest. Janet Schlegel reported on agri business, stating the Farm-City banquet is November 4 at the Sheraton. A standing motion to donate a food basket by Berks County Farm Women made by Brown’s Country Store, was approved. Janet also showed the brochure of Berks County that will be updated for a new printing.
