IMPROVED STRESS DISTRIBUTION
The MARATHON cutter chain features
sidebars with full round bushing design for
improved stress distribution, and a full contact
press fit between the bushing and sidebar.
This increases the fatigue strength of the
bushing-to-sidebar joint. In laboratory cycle
loading tests, the bushing withstood 30%
more loading cycles than the previous
bushing link design before working loose.
