Movement of cartoned eggs into retail channels was fair to good, with the best demand where retail features were in progress or planned. Sup plies of larger sizes were in close balance to adequate; mediums were adequate to available. In the Central States, prices for nest run breaking stocks trended higher, checks and undergrade! were unchanged. Trading and demand was spotty. Offerings were adequate. Supplies were adequate. Available product was held with confi dence while buyers bid higher for fill-in needs. The undertone was at least steady. In the South Central States, trading in light type hens was too thin to report prices. Demand was fair. Most plants had suffi cient hens from contractual volumes to fill needs. Supplies of boneless skinless breasts were tight with buying interest for both pallet volumes and tracklot volumes not filled. Treding was at current prices but the undertone was fully steady. Line ran breasts were short of covering commit ments and no extra product showed up today. Trading was reported at higher prices. Yellow skin legs and leg quarters were available and buying interest for late week needs was cautious. Wings were short of needs at most locations but a cau tious undertone was noted.
