Reiff, LOU ANN GOOD Lancaster Farming Staff QUARRYVILLE (Lancaster Co.) —Lisa Reiff did not have her brother Lyndon to contend with in the show ring at the Solanco Fair tlds year, but a batch of new exhi bitors doubled the competition at this year’s show. Even so. Lisa carried on the Reiff tradition by capturing the grand champion market lamb, the champion lightweight and heavy weight, reserve middleweigh, champion pairs, and the fitting and showmanship titles at the sheep show on Wednesday. Lisa, who is IS, and her brother, 18. have held almost a monopoly on wins at the Solanco Fair for sev eral years. Lyndon, now in mission training in New Zealand, usually placed first with Lisa as reserve. KEYSTONE PUBLIC AUTO EXCHANGE, RT. 22/322 BEWTWEEN DAUPHIN & CLARKS FERRY BRIDGE. Lisa is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Reiff of Strasburg. In hot pursuit of the champion ship title was 8-year-old Loren Hershey of Kirkwood with his Suf folk Ruffles. It was Loren’s first year in showing, and one that he almost did not participate in because of first year jitters. After a pep talk from his grandma Mary Hershey, Loren strove out in the show ring with Ruffles determined to win. “I’m going to get one of those trophies," he told his parents, Les and Lois Hershey. He was not disappointed when judge Jim Black of Elton, Md., chose the champion middleweight as reserve champion market lamb. Top Titles For Sheep At Solanco Loren thought Ruffles might have done so well in the show ring because he feeds her extra molas ses and she steals com from the com crib in the meadow where she feeds. Loren and a brother Linford, 6, and a sister, Lisa, 3, also showed sheep. Both Linford and Lisa took seconds in their classes. Other titles went to Allison Hughes with her reserve light weight; Andy Hughes with reserve middleweight, and Tiffany Dean with reserve champion pair. Reserve champion senior show man was Kyle Hamish; reserve senior champion fitter was Tina Henry. In junior showmanship, Becky Byrne was first and Jessica Schmidt placed first in junior fit ting. 1989 Chevy Cavalier 224, Gray, 50,000 (ft) 1989 Chevy Cavalier CP.
