This autumn Penn State Co operative Extension and Penn State-The Lancaster Center have teamed up to offer two personal enrichment courses on gardening. The first is Pruning Ornamental Plants. This course will promote the appreciation of a well-main tained- landscape through proper pruning techniques. Participants will leant about the selection and care of pruning equipment, and the proper methods of pruning de cisuous shrubs and trees, needled evergreen shrubs and trees, broad leaved evergreens, and hedges. The first three classes will con sist of lecture and hands-on de monstrations of pruning on the Expanded Wool H ARRISBURQ (Dauphin Co.) —The Keystone Inter national Livestock Exposition is in its 37th year at Harris burg. The Exposition is recognized nationally as a show case for the nation’s top beef cattle, swine, sheep, and horses. It will be held at the Farm Show Complex in Har risburg on September 30-October 4, 1993. An expanded Wool Show has been planned this year with Bob Calvert of Mercer, PA serving as chairman.
