More than 100 young contestants strained to gain then last inches of ground. Doug Puzo, Susquehanna County 4-H leader, designed and built the weight sled and altered the pedal tractors donated by Bartron Supply in Tunkhan nock and Lindsey Lawn and Garden Center in New Mil ford. Other local business donating materials for the weight sled and the pulling platform were Andre & Sons, Mont rose Auto Parts, Puzo’s Body Shop. Wickizer Lumber. Crafts Lumber Company and Mark Magnotti’e M & M Machine Shop. Susquehanna County 4-H appreciates the donation of materials from these businesses. Many enthusiastic children pulled as parents and other spectators cheered them on. Doug Pouzo and Matt Cas trogiovanni engineered the day’s event. Mike Kowalew ski from the North Jackson Ag 4-H Club measured each pull. Dana Harvatine, Mary Cokely, Tammy Ellis, Con nie Zebrowski assisted in organizing the boys and bids for their turns to pull and selling T-shirts and hats. 4-H leader Dave Quick announced the event. The Harford Fair Queen Colleen Pretto and Theresa Supancik, first runner-up, assisted with awards and gave all participants lollipops. The Harford Fair Association provided a trophy for the first place winner in each division. Ribbons were award ed to the first six places. The 4-year-old girl winners first through sixth place were Donna Seamans, Lydia Sum mers, Victoria Kelly, Lisa Rhodes, Steffany Schaffer, and Justina Wadge. The 4-year-old boy winners were Eric Burgess, placing first, followed by Kenneth Jesse, Cody McAndtew, Phillip Quick, Cole Lukacinsky, lan John son. Five-year-old girl winners were Amy Lynn Frantz, Amanda Zembrzycki, Heidi Page, Ashley Lewis, Lind sey Grosvenor and Jody Molenko. The boys placing first through sixth were Matthew Latwinski, Casey Holleran, Kyle Payne, Andy Cattano, Benjamin Sayre, and Brian Belcher, • The 6-year-old girl division as won by Abby Onyon, followed by Kimberly Morden, Felisha Schafer. Kristin Rhodes, Abralyn Stone, and Jessica Squier. Brian Ryer son won the 6-year-old boy division followed by Kyle Mills, Andrew Nebzydosld, Merl Decker, David Kessler, and Steven Waldie. Winners in the 7-year-old girl class first through sixth place were Betsy Sayre, Jennifer Wilcox, Ansley Luka cinsky, Michelle Grosvcnor, Courtney Twining, and Am ber Quick. Dan Puzo placed first in die 7-year-old boy di vision followed by Jeremiah Naylor, Seth Everitt, Tom Nebzydoski, Tyler Singleton, and Jay Mine. First place 8-year-old girl was Lisa Lopatofsky followed by Molly Sayre, Ashley Twining, and Leah Kelly. The last class to pull, 8-year-old boys, recorded the following winners: Tony Rezykowski, Matthew Holbrook, Theron La tour cue. Jeremy Page, Kris Kiefer, and Robert Lagermasini Jr. The girl pulling the most weight the longest distance was 6-year-old Abby Onyon from New Milford and the boy pulling the longest distance was 8-year-old Tony Rc zykowski from Springvillc.
