CHAMBERSBURG (Franklin
Co.) —A six-year-old cow owned
by Pleasant Valleys Jerseys of
Chambersburg topped the Frank
lin County Jersey show. Bridon
Just Leta was best-uddered in her
class and second best-uddered of
the show.
Senior and grand champion of
the youth show and reserve senior
and reserve grand champion of the
open show was Reich-Dale Sar
gent Ann, a three-year-old shown

Cory J. Mellott of Meicersburg showed the re
serve senior and reserve grand champion of the
youth show, Red Hills Rae Nippersink Iris, a four
year-old.
Best Udder honors went to a senior three-year-old
cow, Topaz Sooner January, owned by Topaz Jer
seys of Greencasde.
Pleasant Valley Starbuck Bambi, owned by Jim
Crouse of Greencasde. was junior champion of the
open and youth shows. Pleasant Valley Jerseys
showed the reserve junior champ of the open show,
while youth reserve junior champion honors went to
Curds Reichard of Chambersburg.
The Franklin County Brown Swiss and Guernsey
shows ran concurrently with the Jersey show at the
Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club. Thomas Smith
of Adamic Breeders Cooperative, Lancaster, served
as judge for all three shows.
Larissa Mellott of St. Thomas swept most of the
top categories in the Brown Swiss show. Her six
year-old cow My T Fine Champagne, earned her
senior and grand champion honors and was also
named best-uddered cow of the show. Her five
year-old, Pine Hill Somon Meg, was senior and
grand champion of the youth show.
Reserve senior and reserve grand champion of the
open show. Swamp Creek Mary, was shown by
Lonnie Wickard of Shippensburg. Mary was second
best-uddered cow of the show.
Tammie Gloss of Chambersburg showed the
youth reserve senior and reserve grand champion.
Twin Lane Lilly Doll Telly.
Larissa also showed die junior and reserve junior
champions, while Tammie Gloss had the reserve
junior champ of the youth show.
The Schnebly family of Crown Stone Farm, Clear
Spring, MD, showed many of the award-winning
Guernseys. Crown Stone Playboy Whisper, shown
by Mark A. Schnebly. was named senior and grand
champion of die youth and open shows. “She’s got a
lot of length,” judge Smith said. “She’s powerful,
extra milky-looking, and open and clean-cut.” The
senior three-year-old was also the best-uddered
cow.
Second bcst-uddcrcd cow and reserve senior and
reserve grand champion of the open show was
Crown Stone Pride Tacoma, a four-year-old shown
by Ron Ernst of Mercersburg.
Crown Stone Astro Alicia, shown by Jeremy N.
Schnebly, was reserve senior and reserve grand
champion of the youth show.
Junior champion was Walnut Lane Franks Rox
ette, shown by Rodney G. and Darlene B. Stuff,
Mercersburg. Brian R. Schnebly showed the reserve
junior champ, Crown Stone Buttermost Barbara.
