Lilly Named Grand Champion Holstein RONALD CLARK Susquehanna Co. Correspondent HARFORD (Susquehanna Co.) Lantland Lancer Lilly, showed by Michele Pavelski, was named grand champion Holstein at the 4-H Dairy Show held here. Eli zabeth Seman’s Ayrshire Rose- More May was judged to be the grand champion of the colored breeds. Pavelski and Semans are mem bers of the North Jackson Ag 4-H Club. With more than 125 entries, type judge Dale Olver, dairy sci ence instructor at Penn State; Mike Engelbrecht, fitting judge from Sire Power; and Irene Osbor ne, showmanship judge from Tel mark, kept the interest of the crowd as they explained the strength and weaknesses of the entries. Davd Quick announced the events, and County Extension Director Nick Place coordinated the show. The judges were assisted by the Pennsylvania Ayrshire princess, Samantha Hillyard of Bradford County, and her dairy maid, Eli zabeth Seman, Susquehanna County, as well as the Susquehan na County dairy princess, Jennie Ann Shamro. The Susquehanna County dairy maids were also prominent as they helped make awards, as were the dairy ambassadors. Dairy maids Karen Hubbard, Amanda Hoover, Erica Seman not only helped in the awards, but were participants in showing their dairy animals, as were the ambas sadors Mike Kowalewski and Luke Zebrowski.
