Stephanie Bowman of Lenharts ville, PA and Bruce Snyder of Kutztown had a tremendous week at the Kutztown Fair. Snyder and Bowman finished first in the Showmanship and Fitting Contest respectively. Judge Marlyn Stroh of Lafayette Hill, New Jersey, was kept busy, there were eight differ ent breeds exhibited in the breed ing stock show plus market lambs in this strictly youth Sheep show. Champion Ram and Champion Ewe in the Corriedale Breed was shown by Kelly Glaser of Lime kiln. Dominating the Dorset class es was Bruce Snyder of Kutztown. Snyder took home all the Cham pion and Reserve Champion hon ors for the Dorsets. There were 37 Hampshiies exhibited and Ther esa Anspach o£ Shillington had Champion Ram and she also ex hibited the Champion Ewe. Hail ing from Robesonia, Jason Man willcr showed the Champion Ox ford Ewe as well as the Reserve Champion Ewe. The Rambouillet breed winners were divided between Grand La zarus of Germansville who swept the Ram classes and Kystal Ans pach of Schillington who won the Champion and Reserve Champion Ewe ribbons. In the Shropshire classes Tom Newpher of Fleet wood won both the Champion Ram and Ewe titles, while Victor ia Reiser of Mohnton, won Re serve Champion Ram and Megan Perry of Hamburg won Reserve Champion Ewe. Southdowns were well repre sented and Lee Gauker of Fleet wood won Champion Ram and Bruce Snyder won both Champion and Reserve Champion Ewe titles. The last breed shown were the Targhees. Samantha Gressley of Fogelsville won all the Champion rosettes for this breed. The Showmanship and Fitting contest and the Blocking and Grooming Contest judge was Tim Fleener of Robesonia. This was the second year for the Beef Fit Out Contest Youth ex hibiting beef cattle bring their washed, and clipped animal into the ring. They are given 30 min utes to finish fitting their animal in front of the judge. This year, Lee Wagner of Easton served as the judge for the breeding cattle, mar ket steers, and the fit-out contests.
