Jerry Bollinger polished off his
final year at the Lancaster County
4-H Fair by showing the champion
market lamb.
“It was a total suiprise," Bollin
ger said of his 97-pound medium
Dorset that bested 77 other market
lambs for the title.
Judge Tim Hall of Dalmatia was
impressed with the Dorset’s length
of loin and muscling and its wide
body loins. Bollinger and his two
brothers raise about 30 head of
Suffolk breeding stock and Dorset
market lambs on their parents’.

the grand champion for S2.OS per
pound. Bollinger said that he
would bank the money for his col
lege fund. The recent graduate of
Ephrata High School plans to
attend Penn State-Berks Campus
in January.

Lyndon, who is usually Lisa’s

showed two sheep for him. One
took the reserve champion middle
weight title.
Fifteen-year-old Lisa was also
named reserve champion
showman.
