delegate candidates for the 1994
National Pork Prodeucers delegate
body will take place at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, August 19, 1993, in
conjunction with a board of direc
tors meeting of the Pennsylvania
Pork Producers Council at the
Region VI office of the Pennsylva
nia Department of Agriculture in
Summerdale, Pennsylvania. All
Pennsylvania pork producers are
invited to attend.
Clinic For Special
Children Auction Set
LEOLA (Lancaster
Co.) —Donations of saleable items
are again requested for the benefit
auction for the Clinic for Special
Children. The auction will be Sep
tember 18,1993, at the Leola Pro
duce Auction site on Brethem
Chruch Road, Leola. All proceeds
will go to the clinic, a non-profit
organization with Dr. Holmes
Morton as the attending physician.
Dr. Morton has taken a special
interest in several hereditary dis
eases. and by testing all newborn
babies of high-risk parentage, he
has been able to prevent irreversi
ble brain damage of many of these
young children. The same tests
that are at the clinic for $35.00
Lancaster 4-H Fair Set
LANCASTER (Lancaster Co.)
—Food, animals, games and kids
will fill the Lampeter Fairgrounds
Aug. II through 13 when die Lan
caster County 4-H Fair season.
The fair is a showcase for myr
iad projects 4-H‘ers have com
pleted in the past year. Visitors
will have the opportunity to view
everything imaginable from
scrapbooks to sheep. But exhibits
are just a part of die fair, which
also includes contests, food and
game booths, and presentations
that allow 4-H’ers to demonstrate
their skill and knowledge.
In addition to the exhibits and
booths, fairgocrs can select from a
busy schedule of daily activities.
On Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.
fairgocrs will be treated to a cos
tume contest for sheep.

show will begin at 3 p.m.
The fair will close Friday even

mier breeder and premier exhibitor awards from the Lebanon County Holstein show.
