    Mercer County Chooses Dairy Royalty

Marsha Ann Chess was chosen
Mercer County Dairy Princess at
the annual pageant recently. Mars
ha is the 18-year-old daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Marshie and Rosem
ary Chess of Fredonia. She lives on
the family’s 218-acre Pleasant
View Farm with a 140-head herd.
Marsha previously held dtles as
Mercer County Jersey Princess
and Pennsylvania Jersey Queen.
She is also a Mercer County 4-H
ambassador and a salutarian of her
class at Soneboro Weseyan
School. Marsha plans to attend
Penn State University.

Participate In Exchange
LANCASTER (Lancaster Co.)
Poultry producers from south
central Pennsylvania will have an
opportunity to visit poultry facili
ties in St. Petersburg, Russia in
September, under a professional
exchange being offered by the
Friendship Force.
The trip will take place from
September 17 through September
26,1993, and will include a home
stay with families on one of five
joint stock companies which spe
cialize in the production of eggs
and meat. Participants will also

School and plans to major in art
education at Edinboro University
of Pennsylvania.

Greenville. She is a 1993 graduate

plans to attend Thiel College.

of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Critchlow,
Harrisville; Cassandra Gadsby,
have the opportunity to see some
of the cultural treasures of St.
Petersburg. Group size will be
limited to 21, but is open to any
one interested in the poultry
industry.
Cultural workshops will be
offered prior to departure to help
Ambassadors prepare for the
10-day trip.
