Lester Jenkins and son-in-law and daughter Fred and Jean Pazzaglla
farm 600 acres 10 miles east of Mansfield In Tioga County. This new Dairy of
Distinction has 200 Holsteins that include 150 milk cows that average
20,000 lbs. of milk. The farm has been In the family since 1873. They keep
the cows In tie stalls and use their acreage to grow corn and hay for the
dairy herd. Lester Is retired but still helps In the barn and around the farm
when he can.

Richard and Martha Rhoades started their dairy (arming operation with
nine cows back In the '4o’s. Now they have 335 Holsteins with 160 milk cows
that average 21,376, 665 p. Their son David is the herdsman, and two
daughters, Ann Cheers and Elaine Anderson, help with the milking (rom
time to time. The farm operation covers 1000 acres of corn, oats, wheat and
hay. They are located north of Emlenton in Venango County near the Cla
rion County line.
