declines in opening trade. Demand mod
erate to good and best from midsession on
as lower levels spurred additional orders
for yearlings. Steer and heifer calves
steady to $2.00 lower. Quality of supply
average, end attractive. Weigh-ups average
to many full. Feeder flesh mmains fairly
attractive with most in slightly thin through
slightly fleshy condition. Calves continue
mostly soft and unweaned with only few
30 to 60 days weaned. Slaughter cows
steady to $l.OO higher. Very good demand
continues for fleshy cows; only fair to
moderate demand for Cutters. Slaughter
bulls $l.OO lower with light demand.
Receipts this week 11,250 head; 12,754
last week; last year 12,224 head. Supply
included 76 percent yearlings and calves
over 600 lb*.; 18 percent calves and light
yearlings under 600 lbs.; 6% cows and
bulls. Bulk prices follow with weighted
average in parenthesis.
