Cattlemen’s Field Days Set PORT MATILDA (Centre Co.) The Pennsylvania Cattlemen’s Association will co-sponsor two field days in mid- and late-July. The July 24 field day will be at ErReR Hill Farm. Friedens (Som erset County), Pa. ErReR Hill Farm is owned by Sidney Riggs and managed by Bob Hay, who is also vice president of the Pennsyl vania Cattlemen’s Association. The Field Day will be co-spon sored by the Somerset County Cattlemen and the Pennsylvania Angus Association. There will be touts of several interesting cattle and land man agement practices at the ErReR Farm Field Day, emphasizing conservation practices which not only enhance soil and land con servation, but that also contribute to more productive and efficient cattle management. The tours will include stream bank protection, grazing systems, and other practi cal land management methods. The program will include pre sentations by Dick Spader, execu tive secretary of the American An gus Association; Burton Eller, executive vice president of the National Cattlemen’s Association in Washington, D.C.; Drs. Erskine Cash and John Comerford. De partment of Dairy and Animal Science, Penn State University; and several Soil Conservation Ser vice specialists.
