Diane Yoder Reigns As Bucks-Montgomery Dairy Princess
OTTSVILLE (Bucks Co.)
Diane E. Yoder, a student at Dela
ware Valley College, was
crowned the 1993 Bucks-
Montgomery Dairy Princess dur
ing a pageant held June 26 at the
college.
Yoder, 20, is the daughter of
Gideon and Hazel Yoder of
McVeytown. She grew up on her
family’s dairy farm in Mifflin
County and served as the
1990-1991 Mifflin County Alter
nate Dairy Princess. As the Bucks-
Montgomery Dairy Princess, Miss
Yoder will promote milk and
dairy products at schools, grocery
stores, county fairs, community
events and farm meetings
throughout the two-county area.
A junior at Delaware Valley
College, Yoder is majoring in bus
iness administration and market
ing. She is employed in the col
lege’s public information office.
She is a member of Alpha Phi
Omega, a national service frater
nity, DVC Volunteer Corps, Inter
Club Council, and Power of Posi
tive Students. She also partici

During the pageant, Yoder pre
sented a speech about the impor
tance of advertising and its impact
on sales of milk and dairy pro
ducts. She also presented a skit,
appearing as a character from the
popular video game. Super Mario
Brothers, and talked about the
nutritional benefits milk provides.
Yoder will be joined in her
promotion duties by three dairy
ambassadors: Danielle Breaux,
the daughter of AI and Nona
Breaux of Salfordville; Rachel
Moyer, the daughter of David and
Rosemarie Moyer of Perkasie; and
Katie Sterner, the daughter of
George and Linda Sterner of
Bechtelsville. All three teen-agers
are active 4-H members and have
shown dairy cows for several
years.
