Even meat often needs no specific instructions as I’ve made it so often. Now desserts are in a different category and one teaspoon or one tablespoon would make a big dif ference in the end product. And, as we have two desserts with every meal, there is a big collection of dessert recipes in my little black notebook. This morning I plan to make an apple pie and a cherry pie. Most of our children have gar dens too and grow some of their food. I often think that the majori ty of people do not realize the work behind the rows of fruits and vegetables that they see in their supermarkets. What would they do if the shelves were empty? It would not make any difference to me oh yes, I would miss those big carrots as mine grow much smaller.
