    COLUMBIA, Mo. The 47th
annual convention of the National
Association of Animal Breeden
(NAAB) will be August 11-13 at
the Chula Vista Resort, in Wis
consin Dells. Wis.
Guests willo enjoy this specta
cular location on the Wisconsin
River’s famous “Upper Dells.”
Host of this year’s convention is
Tri-State Breeders Cooperative,
Baraboo, Wis.
Convention activities kick off
Wednesday evening, August 11
with the host reception.
Attendees at Thursday morn
ing’s General Business Session
will hear the annual address by
NAAB Chairman of the Board
Douglas Wilson. All technicians
who have serviced more than
100,000 cows, as well as industry
sales people who have sold more
than 500,000 units of semen, will
be recognized with a plaque pre
sentation ceremony.
After a break, NAAB President
Gordon A. Doak will have the call

“International Comparison of
Dairy Genetics.” Roy Wallace,

Senator Harris Wofford congratu
lated the five Pennsylvanians cho
sen by Secretary Espy to serve as
state committee members of the
Agricultural Stabilization and
Conservation Service (ASCS).
John Bertovich of Bentleyville,
Robert Beyer of Sidman, Larry
Kehl of Fleetwood, Patricia Martz
of Dalmatia, and Carl Shaffer of
Mifflinville were appointed.

dent and secretary of the Progres
sive Agriculture Organization’s
board of directors. From
1989-1991, Martz served as the
