My husband and I went fishing
on a recent weekend. We tried five
different places in Wyoming
County. As we had not taken our
boat, we fished from the banks of
streams and lakes.
Most of the places that we tried
were secluded and we seemed to
be the only ones around. One
place we asked permission of the
landowner as we know that we
appreciate it when other people
ask our permission rather than act
as if they own the place.
One shallow stream was so
clear that I was sure we would not
catch anything as one could see
The harder you have to work inside the tractor, the less work you’re going
to get done outside. That’s why we designed more operator comfort and conve-
nience than ever into the cabs of our new AGCO Allis 9600 Series powershift
tractors. Start with the premium Grammer' air-ride seat that adjusts to your weight
and swivels to let you move freely. Easy to read gauges are where you need them.
And our exclusive seat-mounted console turns with you to keep transmission and
engine controls right at your fingertips. Check out the
most comfortable cab in the field. In our four new models. AGCO

that only small fingerlings
appeared to live there. The hem
locks and elms had low branches
that almost touched the surface of
the water. It was a pleasant but
cool day to fish.
The following day we had the
opportunity to fish in a private
lake. Bass season was not yet open
and so we only caught small fish. I
kept five of the biggest sunfish
and cleaned and froze them.
I’ve put a number of my house
plants in the comer of our garden.
But, they have not fared very well
as the ground was too dry.
Although, generally I find that

This year I planted some cotton
and I’m anxious to see how it will
grow. My peanuts are always slow
to come up but usually I do get a
good crop. This year I put them in
the garden here at our new house
instead of in the farm garden.
Our hillside behind our home
has different flowers blooming
than bloomed last year. So far I
see daisies, flax, wallflower, and
even a sweet william. I’m hoping
we will again have a variety of
poppies.
