good drying weather this weak gave farmers the opportuni
ty to make hay or harvest the crop for the sHoe.
The State crop report saM hay stands aoroas the state
looked good, but new alfalfa plantings wars stressed with
the drier sod conditions. Weevil damage was reported and
was substantial in soma areas. Pasture conditions were
good to excellent, and there was widespread grazing
across the state.
