This contribution will support a
number of 4-H efforts, such as
sending a 4-H member to State
Achievement Days or National
4-H Congress, enabling a 4-H’er
to compete on a livestock judging
team, or teaching a teen about the
U.S. government during Citizen

and New Jersey were at the com
petition, where six classes of cows
and heifers were judged. The team
received one of three gold medals
awarded.
Craig Nolan of Cochranville led
all contestants with a score of 273
our of 300, earning him the top in
dividual gold medal award. Kevin
Nolan, also of Cochranville, quali
fied for a gold award by placing
13th overall. Other Chester Coun
ty team members participating
were Katie Young, West Grove;
Mike Troop, Cochranville; and
J.R. St. John, Lincoln University.
The team is coached by Glenn
and Duane Stoltzfus of Morgan
town and will be practicing over
the next few months for the major
4-H competition at Penn Slate in
July.
