Announces Junior Shows
KANSAS CITY, Mo. With
summer drawing near, seven
junior regional shows have been
announced by the American Here
ford Association. Approximately
600 head are expected to be led
out this year by young Hereford
breeders competing for a piece of
the $23,000 in premiums. These
regional shows are organized and
planned by sponsoring state junior
Hereford associations.
American Junior Hereford
Association members seven years
of age and older are eligible to
compete. Classes for heifers
calved from January 1, 1992 and
later will be offered. All heifers
shown qualify for the AHA Junior
AI. AI certificates and semen on
proven bulls are available to the
junior owners. Also, many of the
regions are offering steers, cow/
calf pairs, bulls, and group classes.
