In the senior prepared speaking category. Came Het
rick of Oley Valley High School placed first Second and
third placings went to students'from Conrad Weiser High
School, Tara Johnson and Kelly Snyder, respectively.
Judges in this division were Ruth Williams, director of
curriculum for Oley Valley High School, and Lou Ann
Good, staff writer for Lancaster Fanning.

Rhubarb Festival
Set For May 15
INTERCOURSE (Lancaster Co.) Kitchen Kettle
Village. Route 340, Intercourse will celebrate the 10th
annual Rhubarb Festival on Saturday, May 15, from 9 a.m.
to 6 p.m.
The festival includes a Rhubarb Race Car Derby, a Rhu
barb Recipe Contest, a Rhubarb Pie Throwing Contest,
music by the Dixieland Express and the Schlossmen Ger
man Band, children’s games, and a variety of rhubarb
foods at the restaurants and shops of Kitchen Kettle Vil
lage. Several of the activities will benefit the Muscular
Dystrophy Association and the American Cancer Society.
Admission is free and plenty of free parking is avail
