KALIDA, Ohio The time,
labor, and seed savings advan
tages of the Unverferth Drill Fill
are now available for producers
who use the Case 5200 and 5400
drills.
The ground-level loading
vertical-lift auger moves bulk or
bag seed to a horizontal center-fill
auger in the capacity expanded
seed hopper. The cross auger dis
tributes seed evenly throughout
the grain tank minimizing seed
travel and handling damage. The
hopper extension increases drill
capacity by up to 20 percent and is
primed and painted to match the
Scholarship To
Leadership School
Provided
CHAMBERSBURG (Franklin Co.) A
scholarship to the Conservation Leadership
School will be provided by the Franklin
County Conservation District to a county stu
dent between the ages of IS-18 who have
completed at least one ninth-grade science
course.
The schools are scheduled for July 4-July
17 and July 18-31, at the Civil Engineering
Camp at Penn State’s rustic Stone Valley
recreation areas. Students stay in platform
tents with bunks and concrete floors and use
the Civil Engineering Lodge and heated
bathhouses.
Cost of attending this school is $370. The
district pays $lOO, which includes lodging
and all meals, course materials, etc. The stu
dent is responsible for their own transporta
tion to and from Stone Valley in Huntington
County.
The curriculum focuses on the application
of principles of forestry, wildlife manage
ment, soils management, watershed manage
ment, architecture, and other areas of conser
vation. Note: This is not a recreational sum
mer camp - students-should have a strong
desire to learn. Dr. James Hamilton heads a
staff of resident instructors, all with academ
ic backgrounds and experience in the afore
mentioned subjects.
For students interested in attending this
school, a brief essay on why they wish to
attend should be mailed to the Franklin
County Conservation District, 550 Cleveland
Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, no later
than May 17. This essay is a must to deter
mine who will attend this school in the event
there is more than one application.
