NATIONAL EGG MARKET - AT A
GLANCE: Prices were unchanged to lower
on the large sizes in the Northeast and parts
of the Midwest, unchanged on the balance.
The market tone continued steady to weak
on the large sizes, and generally steady to
instances fully steady for mediums.
Demand was mostly fair. Supplies of the
large sizes remained adequate to ample,
and the light sizes were adequate to tight
Breaking stock supplies were generally
adequate or available, and prices were
mostly unchanged. Light-type hen supplies
were adequate to fully adequate for the
light to fair demand, and the undertone

Trucklot buying interest ranged good to
very good. Supplies of boneless skinless
breasts were tight and buyer inquiries for
immediate needs went unfilled. Most trad
ing was repotted at a solid 2.10 with some
smaller volumes sold at higher prices. The
trade sentiment was firm. Line run bream
were also tight with less than trucklot vol
umes booked at higher trending prices. Leg
quarters were in close balance with imme
diate needs and short of covering buyer
inquiries for next week deliveries. The
trade sentiment was rated fully steady.
Wings continued short of trade needs but
some buyer caution at the higher prices
wu noted.

of 3 pound and lighter weights. Heavier
sizes were fully adequate. Live suppliei
were moderate; weights varied in a full
range of light to heavier than desired. Pro
cessing schedules continued very heavy.
Lest than trucklot asking prices were
unchanged at 52 to 64 cents. Trade senti
ment was steady. In the part complex,
breast items were short of an active call.
Wings were barely adequate to adequate.
Leg items were generally well balanced,
except drams remained difficult to place
for several tellers.
