WILKES- BARRE (Luzerne Co.) The Penn State Coopera tive Extension Family Living Program Development Committee in cooperation with the Luzerne County Prison has developed an educational marketing display board for the families of prisoners. The board will help to educate families on key issues such as money management, building suonger families, and health and nutrition. “It is our hope that families, while waiting to sec prisoners, will gain new knowledge in vari ous areas of family living,” slated Joan Roginski, president of the committee. The idea was initated by Bob Crawford, committee member, and further developed by the committee. Penn State Cooperative Exten sion’s mission is “helping people help themselves.” The committee functions to identify educational needs in Luzerne County and rep resents all geographic areas. The display board was built by volun teers, and materials donated by a local contractor. The Luzerne County Commis sioners support Penn State Cooperative Extension in Luzerne County in part along with state and federal monies. Offices are located in the Courthouse Annex, 5 Water Street, Wilkes-Barre.
