DELMARVA BROILER/FRYER
MARKET. FEDERAL-STATE
Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was sluggish. Seller offerings were readily
available at several plants and difficult to
place. Live supplies were moderate at
desirable to heavy weights.
Slaughter schedules were light as some
plants trimmed operations and others sus
pended production. Lett than trucklot ask
ing prices were unchanged at 48 to 61
cents; however, discounting remained a
factor in clearing excess supplies. Trade
sentiment was steady to mostly weak. In
the part complex, all items were at least
adequate. Wings and breast parts were
slow to clear at most plants.

PARTS - PART I FEDERAL-STATE
Trucklot buying interest was light and
heavy wet snow in some parts of New Eng
land slowed buying interest even more.
Supplies of boneless skinless breasts were
at least adequate with most trading at the
1.90 level. Line run breasts were available
but tome buyers were cautious. Trades
were repotted at lower prices and buyers
bid even lower. Yellow skin legs and leg
quarters were adequate and cleared at
steady prices while white skin leg quarters
were fully adequate at tome locations.
Wings were fully adequate to ample,
offered at competitive prices, and slow to
clear.
