Continued large supply of feeder steers
650- 800 lbs. steady to $l.OO lower; lighter
supply over 800 lbs. steady to $l.OO high
er. Feeder heifers steady. Stocker steers to
700 lbs. and heifers to 550 lbs. $l.OO-$2.00
higher. Demand very good for grazing
cattle as is normal for the season. Moderate
demand for feeder cattle. Quality and con
ditions not as attractive to buyers as last
week. Overall quality of supply average to
attractive, several plain. Stockers in mostly
thin flesh, however some being sent to
graze-out wheat in average to slightly
fleshy condition. Stackers gaunt to average
in weigh-up. Feeder cattle flesh average to
many moderately fleshy. Feeder weigh-ups
average to moderately full, few gaunt.
Slaughter cows $l.OO higher. Cow demand
good. Slaughter bulls $1.50-$2.00 lower.
Bull demand light. Receipts this week
15,000; last week 22,055; last year 13,813.
Run consisted of 71% feeders over 600
lbs.; 25% calves and light yearlings under
6W lbs.; 4% cows and bulls. Bulk price
