Changes Discussed At Holstein
VERNON ACHENBACH JR. Including the directors, 53 peo-

GRANTVILLE (Dauphin
Co.) A number of issues con
cerning the running of the national
and local Holstein Associations
were discussed here Thursday at
the Holiday Inn, as part of a series
of nation-wide meetings called
Winter Forums.
The meeting was led by John
Selz, of Humbird, Wis., Holstein
Association vice president, and
national directors Thomas Kelly,
of Tyrone, and John Howard, of
Willow Street.
While a number of issues were
addressed during the day-lbng

on only a few items. Any consen
sus built during the meeting does
not mean that the local positions
are shared by other members in the
state.

Of the issues discussed Thurs
day were the national board

issues, herd classification, shows,
Holstein values, a program getting

Of special interest and stronger

MODEL 90
FARROWING CRATE
Constructed from heavy gauge materials this crate
is designed to reduce crushing, with sow comfort
in mind. The bowed bottom bars makes for a
comfortable 33” crate width when the sow lays
down, yet the adjustable anti-crush bars eliminates
the sow from carelessly dropping on the piglets.
This movement restriction does not hamper the
sow as she lays down, or wants to stand up, as
the bars slide up and out of her way.
