How Does Your Herd Compare?
STATE COLLEGE (Centre Co.) This data is pulled from Pennsyl
vania DHIA’s mainframe computer each week. It is a one-week summary
representing approximately one-fourth of the herds on test, as they are
tested monthly.
These data are valuable from a business management standpoint and
can be used for comparing your operations to the averages from almost
1,400 herds across the state.

High Resistance [HR], Resistance [R], Moderate Resistance [MR], Low Resistance [LR],
Dot [•] indicates variety is susceptible or no resistance claimed.
Most highly promoted alfalfa varieties report resistance to 5 or 6 major alfalfa
pests. Not bad. But new CimarronVß has resistance to 15 of the major diseases,
insects and nematodes that attack alfalfa. And according to scientists, 11 of these
pests are likely to be present on your farm. So why settle for second best. If you
are concerned about loss of yield, quality Ajm TR
and stand, why not go with the winner?* vJlilfllivii Vft
Why not plant advanced CimarronVß alfalfa? The High-Yield, High-Quality Alfalfa
* CimarronVß alfalfa won the highly competitive commercial hay contest at the 1992
World Dairy Expo, judged best in quality among all varieties submitted.
