FARROWING CRATE
Constructed from heavy gauge materials this crate
is designed to reduce crushing, with sow comfort
in mind. The bowed bottom bars makes for a
comfortable 33” crate width when the cow lays
down, yet the adjustable anti-crush bars eliminates
the sow from carelessly dropping on the piglets.
This movement restriction does not hamper the
sow as she lays down, or wants to stand up, as
the bars slide up and out of her way.

who have competed at the Nation
al 4-H Judging Contest in Madi
son, Wis., are ineligible for the
4-H division, and FFA members

al Dairy Judging Contest in Kan
sas City, Mo., are ineligible for
FFA competition.
In the afternoon, a notetaking
and group reasons workshop will
be held for the junior FFA and 4-H
contestants and coaches. Junior
FFA and 4-H division contestants
will have the opportunity to give
one set of oral reasons or attend
the workshop. They cannot do

However, the three highest
scoring individuals in junior rea
sons will receive a ribbon or a
plaque. Junior FFA and 4-H con
testants giving reasons must be
pre-entered and designated on the
entry form. You cannot sign up
the day of the contest to give
junior FFA and 4-H reasons.
The entry fee is $4 per contest
ant plus $4 per coach if paid in ad
vance. This fee covers the cost of
lunch and mailings and should ac
company the entry form. For late
entries on the day of the contest or
after the deadline, cost will be $5
per contestant and coach. Entries
are due by March 5.
