On November 8, eleven Grass
land FFA members left to attend
the National FFA Convention in
Kansas Gty, Missouri. The con
vention itself was held from No
vember 11 to November 13. The
main purpose of the trip was to
take part in the many opportuni
ties that the convention offered,
such as contests, a career show,
motivational speakers and getting
to know FFA members from all
across the United States in gen
eral.
On the way out, the members
stopped at places such as the Air
force Museum in Dayton, Ohio,
the Indianapolis Speedway, and
the St Louis Arch.
The members that attended

Martin, a recent graduate of Gar
den Spot got national recognition
for his local tree trimming and re
moval business. He had been
named the Eastern Region Star
Agribusinessman earlier in the
year, and was in the running for
Star Agribusinessman of America.
As a finalist he was recipient of
one thousand dollars from the Na
tional FFA Organization and a ten
day all expense paid trip to Eur
ope. The chapter also received a
Gold medal for their outstanding
