# GOLDEN LEAF
TOBACCO CO. INC. yS&J
Attention Tobacco Farmers
Do you want the freedom of choice
to sell your tobacco where you want to?
Golden Leaf Tobacco Co. feels that as American farmers you should
have a choice to sell your tobacco any place that you want; whether it
by auction or private sale. We strongly support that right.
As a major buyer in Lancaster County for over ten years, we have
gained* the respect of major tobacco companies through out the U.S.
Through that respect, we are representing several of them in this
county.
Before Christmas of this year we were the largest buyer on the auction
system. On December 21,1992, 267,713 pounds were sold at auction.
Golden Leaf Tobacco Co. purchased 196,992 pounds from that facil
ity. There should be little doubt in the farm community that we have
tried to support the. auction system faithfully.
Since that time, new management has demanded that all private sales
stop-. Why? We call it greed.
We would still like to buy tobacco both at auction and private sale but
it must be done in a more peaceful manner. We believe it is the desire
of Lancaster tobacco farmers to have both systems.
Please call our office Monday thru Friday 8 A.M. until 4 P.M. and give
us your opinion.
