Harry E. Fox has
been involved in
various off-farm
projects and raised rabbits. Committees he
has been involved with include public rela
tions, long-range planning, and state and
national participation. He has held the pos
ition of historian, treasurer, and vice presi
dent, and received the Greenhand, Chap
ter, and County degrees. Also, Harry has
been honored with the Star Greehand, a
silver medal in the state landing judging
contest, and two silver medals in the state
project book contest Hairy intends to be
active in the military service by complet
ing military training, attending college and
majoring in soil science and military sci
ence, and becoming an active member in
the state national guard.

year Twin Valley FFA member, has taken
on a variety of environmental projects,
including planting trees on gameland for
the past three years and boarder cutting. He
has participated in various wildlife con
tests, including a forestry contest, the state
wildlife contest, the Water Quality Prog
ram at F&M College, and the Nolde Envir
onmental Forum. He has also participated

clinic,” said Stephanie Garrett. Stephanie,
17, daughter of John and Charlene Garrett,
Pequea, has served the Manor FFA for four
years. She has competed at many local
fairs, showing hogs, steers, and tobacco.
Stephanie has also served on the scrap
book, yearbook, awards, and other com
mittees. She also served as student advisor
and is president. Additionally, the Manor
FFA member has obtained the Greenhand,
Chapter, and Red Rose degrees, and vari
ous awards, including Sales and Service
Proficiency, State Contest Salesmanship,
dairy foods, state contest meats, national
contest meats, and Chapter Leadership
Award.

Gelsinger, four

Weiser FFA
member, Wemersville. Although she said
she wasn’t sure of her future plans, she
looks forward to leaving high school and to
finish out her last year in 4-H. While a
Conrad Weiser FFA member, Tammy
worked on a number of different projects,
including market swine and market steer.
She has showed animals at a number of
county fairs and exhibited them at the state
farm show. She also has a herd of regis
tered Simmental heifers. In her four years
in FFA, Tammy said, she served on a num
ber of committees, including citrus sales,
leadership, and community service. Tam

judging, and livestock judging. Also, Tom
has served on a number of committees,
including membership development, cit
rus sales, and others. FFA achievements
include Greenhand, Chapter, and County
degrees, and Tom was also honored with
second place in the county record book
contest.

Jennifer Grimes,
17, daughter of
Kenneth and
Barbara Grimes,
Strausstown, has
served her chap
ter on a number of committees: bulb sale,
recreation, banquet, breakfast, and citrus
sales. She owns a dairy herd of 20 cattle
and works on the home farm. Jennifer is
Berks County FFA chaplain, and has been
the chapter student advisor and treasurer.
Additionally, Jennifer has earned first
place in the Eastern Region Dairy Judging
Exposition and second place in the state
creed contest. Future plans include attend
ing Penn State to become a veterinarian.
