AlB-Lancaster Farming, Saturday, January 9, 1993 STATE COLLEGE (Centre Co.) —The 1993 Pennsylvania Holstein Association convention has been set for Feb. 18 through Feb. 20 at the Ramada Hotel, in Wilkes-Barre. It marks the 80th meeting of the association. The theme of the convention is, “Generation to Generation,” and is to be highlighted throughout the convention program. New for this year’s convention is a special area set aside to show the progress of the artificial inse mination industry in Pennsylvania. In the schedule of events it is listed as being open for most of the first two days of the convention. It is listed as the A.I. and dairy history room. ’Staying with the theme of gener ational continuity in dairying and farm ownership, there is an early bird workshop on Feb. 19 starting at 7:30 a.m. which looks at estate planning and legal tools and avenues that can help keep an estate intact and solvent enough to pass on to survivors. On Feb. 18, a four-member pan nel discussion, held as a round table discussion, is to feature a number of successful Holstein breeders. Horace Backus, of Mex ico, N.Y. is to moderate.
