NATIONAL EGG MARKET - AT A
GLANCE: Prices were unchanged. The
market tone was steady with some cau
tiousness noted in the Midwest Demand
was moderate to very good, and seasonally
active. Supplies were mostly adequate to
instances ample, and usually available at
steady prices when sought. Breaking stock
supplies were adequate, and breaking sche
dules were reduced for the remainder of the
year. Demand for light type hens was light
to fair, and offerings were fully adequate to
ample; the maiket tone was barely steady
to weak.

wu steady. Demand continued generally
good for the holidays. Supplies were
adequate. The New Jersey invemoty was
25% below last Monday’s level, and the
New York inventory was 8% above last
week.

needs was light. Supplier of boneless tkin
less breasts ranged adequate to close
balance. Trading was repotted at steady
prices and the undertone was fully steady
to firm. Line run breasts were also in dose
balance with trade needs. Some baying
interest for late week deliveries went
unfilled. Shipper asking prices trended
unchanged to higher and die trade senti
ment was fully steady. Yellow skin legs
and leg quarters were at least adequate snd
some competitive pricing was still noted.
Wings continued to be short of covering a
good demand. Trading was reported at
higher prices.
