Market is open here at the South
ern Maryland Regional Farmers
Market
The market is open every Satur
day and Sunday from 10 a.m. to S
p.m. until Christmas. It is located
on U.S. Rt. 301 south adjacent to
the Veteran’s Cemetery.
Local farmers and crafters are
selling a variety of holiday goods
inside the warehouse, including
poinsettias, fresh wreaths, hand
made crafts and ornaments, holi
day decorations, leather goods,
quilts and quilted items, wooden
crafts, baked goods, jams and jell-

developed 15 sessions on topics
and issues of special concerns to
growers. One of the highlights of
this year’s program will be an in
depth session on water conserva

Basin Commission.
Featured speakers at this year’s
meeting include learning
researchers, extension specialists,
industry scientists, and county
agents. Speakers from Florida,
Georgia, Pennsylvania, Delaware,
Maryland, Virginia and the USDA
will participate in this year’s
sessions.
