Angie takes a break with Sherry and Don Hotter and
daughter Kristen. Since Angie began working on the Hot
ter's dairy, she refers to the Hotters as her second family.

She Wears A Crown

finalists from 33 contestants lor
the state crown. She also received
an honorable mention for her
scrapbook documenting her dairy
promotional activities.
Angela describes herself as a
person who likes physical labor, is
an outdoor person, likes to hunt
and ski.
For 5 years, Angela has played
field hockey. This year, she had the
distinction of playing goalie.
When interviewed for this article,
the team was entering the first
round of district playoffs.
Angela is also president of the
youth group at Midway Church of
the Brethren.
“I have a heavy schedule now
with FFA, dairy princess duties,
and youth group,” Angela said.
That will all end in June. Angela
is hoping that by then she will have
a full-time job on a dairy farm.

If she continues to like milking
as well as she expects to, her next
step will be to start building up her
own dairy herd. Already she owns
six cows.
Her favorite dairy recipe that
she shares in her promotional
activities is as follows.
CHOCOLATE
PEANUT LOAF
1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
(about 33 wafers)
'A cup chopped salted peanuts
2 tablespoons confectioners’
sugar
3 tablespoons butter, melted
'A gallon chocolate ice cream
3-ounces cream cheese
V* cup confectioners’ sugar
'A cup peanut butter
Vs cup milk
%cup whipping cream,
whipped
Chocolate syrup
For crust, combine crumbs, pea
nuts. 2 tablespoons confectioners’
sugar, and butter; reserve half for
topping. Press remaining half into
bottom of foil-lined 9xSx3-inch
loaf pan. Place in freezer for is
minutes. Soften 3 cups chocolate
ice cream. Spread over frozen
crust; return to freezer. To make
filling, beat cream cheese, sugar,
and peanut butter until fluffy. Add
milk gradually, beating until fluf
fy; fold in whipped cream. Spread
over frozen ice cream; return to
freezer until filling is firm. Spread
3 more cups softened ice cream
over filling. Sprinkle with reserved
crumbs, patting crumbs lightly
into ice cream. Cover with foil;
freeze. Unmotd just before serv
ing, peeling off foil. Slice to serve;
drizzle with chocolate syrup.
Makes 10 to 12 slices.
