in Louisville, on Nov. 9
there will be a new pro
tein production award
presented in the milking
classes.
Clover Hill West
Farm of Staunton, Vir
ginia will present a
plaque to the owner of
the animal with the
highest protein produc
tion in each of the fol
lowing classes: senior
2-year-old, junior and
senior 3-year-old,
4-year-old, 5-year-old,
and 6 aged cow.
The award will be
based on 305-day (or
less) actual protein pro
duction on the most
recent completed record
or current record-in
progress.
Photocopied DHI
records must be turned
in at check-in. To be
eligible, the record must
include the cow’s full
name and class.
Records will not be
returned. A separate
copy of the record must
be turned in for the
M.B. Nichols and Joe P.
Eves Awards.
