named Michael. The 1,245-pound calf was sold to Rolling
Shade Polled Hereford Farm of East Greenville, Montgom
ery County for $1,400.
Berks Beef Club Holds Sale
LEESPORT (Berks Co.)
The Berks Co. 4-H Beef Club held
their annual beef sale at the Lees
port Farmer’s Market on Wednes
day, October 14.
Tammy Gelsinger, 18, of Wer

County for $1,400. Gelsinger pur
chased the calf at the Dutch Coun
try Calf sale last year.
Tim Eschbach, 14, Shoe
makersville, showed the reserve
grand champion steer, a
1,230-pound Simmental and
Charolais crossbred. The steer
was sold to Keystone Farm Credit
of Shoemakersville for $1,075.
