Youth Production Winners Announced

honon in the 1991 National Jersey
Youth Production Contest for her
owner Martin Watson of Troy.
Pennsylvania.
The contest is sponsored annu
ally by The American Jersey
Cattle Chib and recognizes junior
owned Jerseys with top produc
tion records. Records are calcu
lated on a mature equivalent basis
(305 day, 2x milking, age and
month of calving) and ranked by
pounds of protein.
The winning entry had a protein
ME over 1,100 pounds. “Sunday”
was one of 48 entries from 13
states. The top IS records ranked
on M.E. pounds of protein aver
aged 809 lbs. of protein, with all
48 entries averaging 677 lbs. pro
tein. “Sunday’s” winning actual
record is 1-11 305 21,580 5.2%
1,114 4.2% 900 giving her an m.e.
of 27,622-1,415-1,143. She is an
