the gilt that brought home the
championship.
Reserve champion went to Kurt
Martin, also from the heavyweight
class, for his 252-pound Hamp
shire cross gilt. Kurt, 13, Locust
Grove, is in his second year of 4-H
and is the son of Bob and Marilyn
Martin.
Senior showmanship honors
went to Craig Metzler, 17, Pequea
for his York cross. Craig is the son
of Daniel and Ethel Metzler.
Junior showmanship honors went
to Charles Garrett, 15, a member of
the Penn Manor FFA from Pequea,
with his Hampshire cross. Charles
is the son of John and Charlene
Garrett.
In all, there were a total of 119
bogs and 40 exhibitors. Following
